Gosford Park might have been the blue print for Downton Abbey. Same house, same landowner/servant setup, except this one has plenty of well known faces: Helen Mirren, etc etc etc.
Still good.
Last September is from an Elizabeth Bowen novel. This one set in Ireland, 1920s, wealthy estate. Smaller cast, although many familiar faces here as well (Zoe from MI-5 and the last Dr. Who, David Tennant, oh, and that witch from last season's True Blood!). Fun, slower, no humor at all. Young girl must decide which side of the fence she's sitting in the Irish/English dust up. Turns out to be neither.
